Management Development Programme
Cantab is an organisation in which people grow into managers. Therefore, everyone who joins the company must also complete the Management Development Programme. This programme is based on your personal ambitions, competencies and skills, and you will complete a number of steps to further develop in one of our specialisms. It is up to you to determine your own growth within these steps.
The first step in this programme is to become a B2B marketing specialist. In this role, you will acquire knowledge by generating high-quality information on decision-makers through market exploration, market research or profiling. It is important to maintain control and be flexible and creative as well as to master time management skills. Your Team Development Manager will train and coach you in these areas. By completing various types of projects (internally, or externally with the customer), you will acquire knowledge (or broaden your existing knowledge) of B2B marketing and development within the business community. The duration of this role depends entirely on your development.
The next step is the role of Team Leader.
As a team leader, you coordinate collaboration within a project. You are responsible for your project and you act as the first-line project manager who will analyse potential problems and come up with solutions. A “helicopter view” is essential to this. It is down to you to ensure the various objectives of the project are met. Your Team Development Manager will train you in results- and people-focused leadership, and among other things, you will learn how to get the best from your team members through coaching. You will also be responsible for transferring the knowledge you have acquired as a B2B marketing specialist to your team members. Once again, the duration of this role depends on how quickly you develop within it.
After the team leader phase, you will develop further in one of two directions: Marketing Consultant or Team Development Manager.
Role: Marketing Consultant
As a marketing consultant, you will act as a direct discussion partner for our contacts, and you will help our customers resolve their marketing challenges based on the knowledge and experience you have acquired as a marketing specialist and team leader. You will interpret problems, advise, sell and manage how your advice is implemented. You are responsible for creating the right pre-conditions, delegating and supervising where necessary, and you will monitor progress and make evaluations together with your client.
Role: Team Development Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for our people and their development, and will be involved in recruitment, assessment and, subsequently, with the training and career coaching of the participants in the Management Development Programme. You will also be active as a trainer and coach for the development of B2B marketing specialists and team leaders. This means that you are responsible for a group of people from the moment they are appointed until the point at which they choose one of the two directions.
