Consultative Calling training

Most training courses for telemarketing focus on teaching a number of techniques and tricks. Many people believe that if you use the right techniques and are able to break down the resistance of the prospect/suspect using clever tricks, the rest will take care of itself. Consumers and companies are frequently approached with such script-driven calls.

However, in our experience, this approach is flawed. A manager will not take the call unless they are confident the following conditions are being met:

  • The person they are talking to has sufficient knowledge of their professional field, sector and operational processes.
  • The caller engages them in an open dialogue – in other words, the conversation is not driven by a script.
  • Relevant information is exchanged.
